Over the next year it seems that MozilIa’s Fennec browser and Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 9 will be  increasingly used on mobile platforms. The addition of these browsers to the mix will make the job. of developing for the mobile Web that much more difficult ‘the problems will probably not arise with display issues on these newer browsers, but with the extra capabilities of HTML5 , storage commination with servers and integration with capabilities like geolocation. II tried out the wonderful financial Times mobile web app and was not surprised to find that it  didn’t like my android phone its platform sensing seemed to hare a very small list of supported platforms. I think that for the foreseeable future apps will take a very cautious approach to support of different browsers and will say Sorry you are not supported quite often.

While it is healthy to have a number of  It actually seems that the introduction of these new browsers will be the major limit on the development of the mobile web as a platform
